If you are a small business owner then you probably take on a lot of the duties in your business. I run a small business and I wear a lot of hats – CEO, secretary, marketing, public relations, and yes, even an accountant (my least favorite job of them all). But like all jobs, having the right tools at your disposal makes things easier.
I started off my bookkeeping duties using Microsoft Excel, but it quickly became apparent that I needed something more robust than Excel to manage my small business finances. I was stoked when I ran across some QuickBooks coupon codes online. I saved a lot of money on my initial QuickBooks purchase, and I’ve used QuickBooks ever since then. I initially started with the desktop version of QuickBooks and eventually migrated to the online version, which better suits my workflow and allows me to have a bookkeeper maintain my books more effectively and efficiently than I ever could (allowing me more time to focus on running my business).
Now I’m happy to share these QuickBooks promotional coupon codes with you. I hope you can use them to secure a copy of QuickBooks at a great discount!
Why You Need QuickBooks – Or Another Online Accounting Program
If you’re a small business owner, or even a medium-sized business owner, then QuickBooks could be one of the best investments you make for your organization. If you’ve never heard of QuickBooks, it’s one of the most popular accounting software programs available. Other popular options include Xero, FreshBooks, Wave Accounting, and others.
But QuickBooks is the #1 accounting program for a reason – it integrates with most financial services, it’s easy to use, and there is a huge support network of tax professionals, bookkeepers, and CPAs that use QuickBooks. There are also extensive online support forums and tutorials.
There are several advantages to using QuickBooks which can make your accounting easier than ever before.
As a small business owner, I know managing bills and expenses can be overwhelming.
Missing one bill can create a serious avalanche which can have a huge impact on a new business. That’s where QuickBooks Bill Tracker comes in. As you can guess from the name, the Bill Tracker will show all of your bills and overdue expenses on one page. Not only can you view all of your bills, but they make it very easy to pay off any accounts connected to a credit card or bank account.
Using QuickBooks comes with a whole host of benefits and advantages.
You can track sales, taxes, payments, send invoices and estimates, track inventory, create deposit slips, run reports, and dozens and dozens of other features.
One of the best things is you can use a coupon code which will drastically reduce how much you have to pay. Regardless of the cost, QuickBooks is one of the best investments you can make for your business. Don’t waste your time doing all of the accounting.
Which is Right for You – QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online?
QuickBooks offers two main versions – the desktop version, and QuickBooks Online. They function in a similar way, and you can import data back and forth. But there are pros and cons to each.
The Benefits of QuickBooks Desktop Version
The nice thing about the QuickBooks desktop version is that it is less expensive as a standalone purchase. You can buy it once, and use the software for two or three years before you will need to update it. And eventually, you will need to update it if you want to automatically sync your business banking accounts with your QuickBooks files.
The downside is that you are limited to using the software on one computer, or a local network. That means exporting large files if you ever need assistance from a bookkeeper or you want to send the information to your accountant.
The Benefits of QuickBooks Online
The online version, on the other hand, never requires updates. The software is constantly tweaked and you will see the changes as they happen. No need to download updates, save your old copy, upgrade your software, and hope for the best. Online access also means you can grant access to a bookkeeper or your accountant without needing to download large files and find a way to transfer them. It’s quick, easy, and secure.
The downside, however, is that you have to pay a monthly fee. Over time, QuickBooks Online is more expensive than the desktop version. That said, I transitioned from the desktop version to the online version for the ease of use, plus, I finally broke down and hired a bookkeeper to do ensure my business books are always up to speed. It ends up costing me more each month, but it makes tax time significantly easier on me since my bookkeeper also does my taxes.
