Jim over at Bargaineering is giving away a $50 gift card to Home Depot. But this isn’t just any Home Depot gift card – this is a Home Depot “Dream” gift card, which is part of a new promotion Home Depot is sponsoring, which will give money to support the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
About the Home Depot “Dream” gift cards. From now until the end of February, Home Depot will donate 5% of each specially marked “Dream” gift card (up to $1 million) to to support the Center for Civil and Human Rights. The donations will be used to build a permanent home for Dr. Martin Luther King’s personal writings and papers, a collection of over 10,000 items, including over 7,000 handwritten notes from 1946 to 1968. Some of the important documents that will be housed include drafts of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” other theological writings and his Nobel Peace Prize addresses.
How to enter the Home Depot gift card giveaway
All you need to do to enter the giveaway is leave a comment about a home improvement project you have been putting off. A winner will be randomly drawn from all qualified entries. Very simple to enter, and it’s for a great cause!
