Key Bank ran a promotion a couple months ago where they gave away a free Garmin nuvi GPS system for opening a new checking account. Well, the previous deal has expired, but there is a new one taking its place.
My wife and I took advantage of the last deal, receiving a similar Garmin nuvi GPS system. We love it!
How to Get the free Garmin nuvi GPS system from Key Bank
Sign up for a free checking account at Key Bank. The following accounts are eligible for the free GPS. Key Express Free Checking, Key Advantage® Money Market Checking account, Key Privilege® Checking or Key Privilege Select Checking account. The Key Privelege Account has certain requirements.
Complete required transactions. You will also need to make one debit card transaction plus a combination of two direct deposits and/or automated payments each of $100 or more.
Receive Free Garmin nuvi GPS system. You will receive the free Garmin nuvi after you meet the requirements. It took about a month for my wife and I to receive our Garmin a couple months ago. You may be required to keep the account open for a few months in order to avoid an early account closing fee, but you should receive the free GPS regardless of how long you keep the account open, as long as you meet the requirements. As with all bank giveaways, the value of your GPS system will be reported as interest on your 1099-INT for tax purposes.
