Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express – Regarded by many as their favorite travel rewards credit card, the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express has won numerous awards and editor’s choice rankings. This card offers a Starpoints® bonus: earn up to 25,000 bonus points: 10,000 after your first purchase and another 15,000 after you spend $5,000 within the first 6 months of Cardmembership. Of this list I’d say that the Chase Sapphire Preferred card has the best sign up bonus by far. You can use them for booking travel direction or transferring your points to several different programs (like British Airways, Continental, Hyatt …).

The best card for ongoing use is the Starwood card. The reason this is such a good card is because you can transfer points to several different mileage programs. They’re currently also giving 30,000 miles if you are referred by an existing card member and spend $4,500 in the first three months.
