Roundup – Baby Prepration Edition

by Patrick on May 31, 2009

My wife and I spent this past week going over our the items we received at our baby shower (thanks so much everyone!) and the items on our baby registry. We went out and bought a dresser for our baby and a few other items and made a list of the other items we will need before our little one arrives. We’re about 7 weeks or so from D-day, so hopefully we won’t have too much rushing around!

Free paper shredding and electronics recycling. The web site FileStoreShred.com makes it easier for families from coast to coast across the U.S.A. and Canada to find and attend paper shredding events where they can have their personal financial records destroyed for FREE. Shredding personal papers is an important part of avoiding the risk of identity theft and maintaining financial integrity. Scores of organizations offer community shredding services that are open to the public. For most people, these events are faster and easier than trying to dispose of this stuff at home. Up until now, it was never this easy to find a shred when you needed one AND they cost nothing!

Excited for you guys, Patrick. Yeah, those showers are nice. We racked up on so much we needed and didn’t need. I love that there’s a very giving community (showers, hand-me-downs, etc.) for the child-raising time in your life. It’s like you joined THE club of clubs.

Thanks for linking back to the carnival.

I’ve noticed the same thing with everyone being so generous. We’ll be sure to pay it forward. :)
