This weekend has been absolutely beautiful and my wife and I are planning on spending as much time outside as possible! We took a long hike yesterday, and we have another one scheduled for today.
Baby registry. My wife and I signed up for a baby registry at Target and Baby’s R Us this weekend. Whoever thought of this was a genius! I won’t write much more about this now, but signing up for the baby registry was actually kinda fun. We learned a lot too, so this may turn into a post in the near future… by the way, if you are expecting a baby anytime soon, the book is ESSENTIAL: Baby Bargains.
Money Saving Deals update. I finally changed the theme to the Money Saving Deals section of Cash Money Life (though I still have a little tweaking left to do). I also have plans to start increasing my posts over there. The theme for Money Saving Deals is based on the Thesis theme, the same as the one on the regular part of this site. It was designed by Larry at Empty Cabin Media. The logo is similar to the CML logo and was designed by Pete at Logos for Websites. Both do great work and if you are looking for blog consulting, a site redesign, or any logo work, I highly recommend them!

Patrick make sure you ask for consumables (diapers, food) on the registry– those are the costs that eat you alive.
Great list of links!
Thanks for the advice, DDFD. We’ve got a bit of everything on there for now. We’re actually considering going with cloth diapers, and using disposable to augment those (basically, when it is more convenient).
I’ll mention this to my wife.
Thanks for the mention Patrick! Now just trying to convince my wife who insists on buying everything Organic.
Million Dollar Journey: Me too! My wife buys a lot of organic foods – especially now that she is pregnant!
Baby Showers are pretty good as long as the toys are in check. After 14 months we have toys everywhere.
Good point, Steve. We plan on asking friends and relatives to limit the toys – we don’t have a ton of room in our house for too many of those!
In my area, most organic foods are basically just about equal the price of conventional, and in rare cases can be less! Like bananas.
Organics where we live are often 2-3 times as expensive, which is too much of a difference in my opinion. When the sales make the prices comparable, I will buy organic… but that doesn’t happen too often.
