Roundup – Fantasy Baseball Edition

by Ryan on April 19, 2009

Baseball season is in full swing, and for me that means it’s time for fantasy baseball! (much to my wife’s dismay). Last season I had several fantasy baseball teams, but due to time constraints, I limited it to just one this year. The cool part is that the league is primarily comprised of personal finance bloggers. I’m looking forward to a fun year of fantasy baseball!

flip-camcorderFlip camcorder giveaway. Last week I held a giveaway for a free Flip Camcorder. There were over 125 entries into the giveaway. To qualify, entrants had to leave a comment regarding what they did with their tax refund, if they owed taxes this year, or if they were like me and filed for a tax extension.

And now for what you are all waiting for… the winner is:

Comment #7, Eric, who wrote: Sadly my refund is just going towards paying bills and getting out of debt. I filed all the way back in February though, and I am thankfully out of that comparatively minor debt already!

Congratulations, Eric, and hopefully the Flip Camcorder will make this a more pleasant tax season for you!

Thanks to eBillme and TigerDirect for sponsoring this promotion!

I never participated in a fantasy league until this season. My cousin got me into it. I was smart enough to let the computer pick the players for me.

Enrique: For your first season, that’s probably not a bad idea. Once you know more about it though, you will probably prefer to draft on your own – that way you can follow your own strategy and go with your own player evaluations. Just a warning – it can be addicting!

Hi, Ryan,

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately baseball is not popular here in Malaysia. Have a great time, though with your team.
