I spent the last week trapped inside our guest bedroom… I was sick with the flu, followed by a bout with a sinus infection. Because my wife is pregnant we decided it was best if I quarantined myself to try and keep her healthy. It worked, but I sure did miss her!
I’m feeling much better now, but it took a lot out of me. I probably won’t be fully well for another week or so.
Nuru Personal Finance System. I was recently sent from NURU Personal Finance deck from NURU. The NURU Personal Finance is a deck of 30 “ultra-thin, waterproof, and durable pocket-sized plastic cards” with personal finance information.
Personal finance topics on the cards include: investing, loans, credit, insurance, retirement vehicles, and more. I thought the cards were good for a quick overview of some personal finance topics; just enough to get a quick understanding of some of the main points. It’s a good place to start and works well for some of their other topics like Golf, Auto, Emergency First Aid, Exercise/Nutrition, and Brain Surgery. OK, I’m joking on the last one!
TuboTax TaxCaster Calculator – estimate your tax return for free. In addition to some other free services, TurboTax launched the TaxCaster calculator, which is a tax calculator users can use to experiment, test “what-if” scenarios and have fun playing with their tax return. You can play with the TaxCaster calculator and other calculators at TurboTax tools. I played with the calculator for a few minutes, but stopped well short of trying to determine my tax obligations this year. With a small business, my tax situation is a little more complicated than it has been in the past!
