Weekly Roundup - Family Edition

by Patrick on October 26, 2008

My wife’s parents came to stay with us for a few days. They live several hundred miles away (about 6.5 hour drive) so we only get to see them a few times per year. I’m of the opinion that you should take advantage of every opportunity you get to see family, so it was nice having them here. I’ll also be flying to California next week for my grandfather’s funeral. Even though it won’t be under ideal circumstances, it will still be nice to see family.

We went to my wife’s family reunion this weekend. It is nice to take advantage of opportunities to learn more about your roots and to stregthen ties.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather!

Jeff: Thanks. And I agree, family is very important. So even though funerals aren’t the most fun occasions, they can be a good chance to get together with family.
