Weekly Roundup – 1,000,000 Edition

by Patrick on October 4, 2008

This has been a tough week for our nation’s economy and stock market, but there was cause for celebration for me and my website: this week Cash Money Life celebrated its 1,000,000th page view! This is a huge milestone and I want to thank everyone who has been a part of it and helped me reach this point. That means I owe each and every reader and fellow blogger a huge Thank You! Thank you for making my blog such rewarding and enjoyable hobby.

Synchroblog. On October 7th, a group of about 10 personal finance bloggers are going to simultaneously answer this question:

“What is the single most important initiative that the next administration should undertake to improve the economic health of the U.S. middle class?”

I plan on participating. With everything that is going on in our economy, this is sure to be an interesting group writing project!

The 10 Day Give (Oct 10th): The 10 Day Give is a movement started by Bob at Christian Personal Finance. The idea is to find ways to give for 10 straight days. Bob writes, “The 10 Day Give is a challenge that is designed to help us get our minds off of ourselves and start thinking about how we can help others.”

I think this is a great idea and plan to participate. It doesn’t matter what or how much or how little you give. If you can give, then you can make the world a better place.

Top Referring Websites to Cash Money Life in September: As I previously mentioned, I reached a huge milestone for my website earlier this week. There were many people responsible for this, and though I can’t thank each of you individually, I sincerely appreciate the people you send my way. Here are the top referring websites to Cash Money Life during September – with a link to one of their recent articles I enjoyed. Thanks guys!

Man, I never would have thought to track that. I go week by week and forget the past ones. I.m averaging just over 1250 page views a week. With a 19.76% average increase a month.

If that remains constant it will take me roughly 77 years to get that. Humm

Nice job Patrick
