This has been an incredibly interesting week. The American economy is not doing so well, the Presidential candidates had a nice little debate on Friday, the stock market was very volatile, a couple banks failed, and congress is squabbling over the details of a $700 billion economic bail out. Let’s hope next week is a little more calm!
We can all learn from Paul Newman. Paul Newman passed on this weekend, and I think we can all learn a little bit from the way he lived. He gave his all in his acting, directing , and producing career (which spanned several decades), then he became a professional race car driver, finishing as high as 5th in a Daytona endurance race, and he started Newman’s Own, a food company that donates 100% of its profits (over $200 million since inception) to charitable causes. To top it all off, he had a great family life. I don’t think there is anyone out there who could say he lived life at half speed. Time has a great write up about his life.
