Weekly Roundup - Lazy Weekend Edition
By Patrick on Aug 3, 2008 in Personal Finance
My wife and I took it easy this weekend. I kicked back and read a Clive Cussler novel, which was the first non-financial book I’ve read since I went on vacation in June. I enjoy reading, but I don’t seem to have enough time to read as often as I would like.
If you’re not familiar with Clive Cussler, he writes action/adventure books, many of which feature character Dirk Pitt (The movie Sahara was based on his novel of the same name). Cussler’s work is not anything I would classify as literary genious, more like “Indiana Jones” in book form. It works for a lazy weekend.

I love Clive Cussler, and Wilbur Smith too. I’ve often wondered what a match up between Dirk Pitt and Sean Courtney would be like.

I agree, not literary genius, but Cussler books make for a good read, I always read his new books. Thanks for the mention!

Debt Dieter,
I’ve never read any books by Wilbur Smith. I’ll have to check one out from the library or get one at Half Price Books next time I go down there.
David,
I always buy mine at Half Price Books or borrow them from the library. It’s much cheaper that way!

Ah, reading a book, sounds so relaxing. I can’t remember the last time I had to read a book!
