At over 9 trillion dollars, I'm not sure our debt will ever be paid off. To be honest, I'm not sure what to think about it.

I do know I don't agree with the idea of the Baby Bonds though. It just doesn't seem like the benefit outweighs the costs.

I am always amused by the politicians and their comments.

There is always a good idea if in bad taste. However bad taste it may be, I always enjoy thinking about it. You say $20 billion dollars annually.

Now what if we actually paid down our national debt? After all, as citizens of America, you and I do owe a piece of this debt.

If we paid down 1 trillion dollars, I suppose that would pay for 50 years worth of baby bonds, right?

That got me thinking, what if we did that, paid down 1 trillion dollars, and paid down another 1 trillion dollars to fund free tuiton American citizens attending public university? Well, 1 trillion is a little short, maybe 2 trillion? That could fund 20 years until we pay off the remaining debt.

After all, we bought enough military supplies to last us into the next decade, don't you think?
