Flexo from Consumerism Commentary just held a contest where he solicited suggestions for improvements to Quicken 2008, which should be released in a few months. The prize was a copy of Quicken Premier 2007. I received an e-mail from Flexo today telling me I was the winner! Thanks, Flexo!
If you don’t know about Quicken, it is a money management program that is very popular and has a very loyal customer base. However, there are some limitations to Quicken, which is why Flexo held this contest – to come up with ideas for some areas where Quicken can improve.
I currently use Quicken to track my income, investments, expenditures, and net worth. It has other capabilities such as a Bill Pay feature, but they charge about $10 a month to use this feature. I get bill pay free through my bank, so some quick math tells me free is a better deal for me!
Quicken Online is free
Quicken recently released an online version, Quicken Online which is free. Here is a Quicken Online review for more details about the features and capabilities of the online version.
