100th Carnival of Personal Finance up at My Open Wallet!!!

by Patrick on May 14, 2007

My Open Wallet was kind enough to host the 100th edition of Carnival of Personal Finance. One of my recent posts was featured in the Frugality and Savings section: “Save Money with Discounted Gift Cards; Sell Unwanted Gift Cards.”

My Open Wallet selected 13 posts for the Editor’s Choice section, then categorized the other entries by content. There are great posts featuring tips on personal finance, Career and money making, relationships and finances, frugal living and saving, retirement, real estate and mortgages, investing, and credit cards. There are a lot of great posts!

Some of my favorite posts this week were:

  • Clever Dude: I got diet pills for $109, but never ordered them. Clever Dude writes about how some rogue company got his debit card info and started sending him a way overpriced product! He walks you through how to handle the situation so that you don’t end up losing anything.
  • Money Walks: Time is More Important Than Money.Money Walks says that the power of time and compounding interest is more important than being able to save a lot now. The longer you can let you money grow, the more you will have.
  • Generation X Finance: The Top 5 Ways to Become a Millionaire. Gen-X gives us 5 simple ways to become a millionaire. All you have to do is form a plan, stick with it, and add a little time. (see previous post – Time is More Important than Money)

I recommend checking out all of the posts in this week’s Carnival of Finance!
